Since I was 6 years old, I used to take Latin & Hip-Hop dance lessons, so I grew up very fit.

  When did you fitness journey begin?

It was always something I enjoyed. Since I was 6 years old, I used to take Latin & hip-hop dance lessons and I really used to enjoy jogging as well, so I grew up very fit. But as an adult, I started losing my fitness due to professional life stress. This is when I started learning how to fight and adjust my diet and lifestyle in order to gain my fitness back.

I had to make sure I kept focus on my goals because it is so easy to get lazy.

 What has your transition been like, moving from corporate to following your passion? 

The more I learned about fitness the more I disliked office jobs. People actually started asking me why I haven’t taken up fitness as my profession since it was quite evident that I truly enjoyed it. So, with the support of people around me I was able to actually leave my job and pursue fitness full-time. By the time I left my job I was already pretty much immersed in fitness readings & blog updates etc. It went really smoothly but I had to make sure I kept focus on my goals because it is so easy to get lazy.

 

How would you describe your style? 

I would say simple and elegant. I don’t follow fashion very closely but I don’t mind trying new things as long as they look simple and elegant on me.

 What is the one fashion trend from Russia which you wish to see more of in Dubai? 

I would like to see a Pastoral fashion trend during the summer. Wide-brimmed straw hats, voluminous cotton blouses and high-waisted skirts or wide-legged trousers.

What is the one quick fitness tip that everyone can apply to their daily life? 

I have three! Drink a lot of water throughout your day. Avoid food that contain sugar. Try to walk or move as much as possible. These three tips will put you on the right path to keeping fit!

 

Be ready to compromise your lifestyle. 

 

Any tips for overcoming obstacles on one’s fitness journey? 

Make sure you are doing it because you’re convinced being fit is the right thing to do. Understand that it takes time. You cannot become fit in 1 month, it’s hard work, REALLY hard work. Be ready to compromise your lifestyle.
